Fort Lauderdale Area Shopping


Galleria Mall

Shopping around Fort Lauderdale can mean many things. You might want to visit a large indoor mall like the Galleria, where you will find department stores like Neiman Marcus and Macy’s, hundreds of shops, salons, a beautiful food court and high-end restaurants. Shop on famous Las Olas Boulevard, or spend an afternoon finding great bargains at the Swap Shop! Where ever you end up, you will surely find what you are searching for!


Las Olas Boulevard

Las Olas Boulevard is a fashionable place to shop. This section of downtown winds along the river, so you can enjoy a scenic lunch or cocktail while taking a break from shopping. Walk along the shady tree-lined streets, and visit hundreds of boutiques, galleries, jewelers, salons and gift shops. Stay a bit longer, and you will find endless possibilities for dining- French bistros. tropical fare, Italian trattorias, sushi bars, Mexican cantinas and steakhouses. You can get around by foot, the Sun Trolley, electric bikes, water taxi or a even a rick shaw! Have a little energy to spare? Have a drink at a cozy lounge, or dance the night away at a wild club!


Sawgrass Mills Outlets

One enormous, international shopping attraction is Sawgrass Mills, located in Sunrise, off I-595 & Flamingo Road. It will probably take several visits to cover the sprawling complex – and you should take a friend to help carry all your bags! Pull carts are available for rent. Get there early for the best parking- but valet service is available. There are hundreds of designer shops- Ralph Lauren, Neiman Marcus, Armani, Brooks Brothers, Prada, Nike, Guess and Cole Hahn, to name just a few. Lunch at the central food court, or dine at one of the many upscale restaurants like the Grand Lux Cafe, The CheeseCake Factory and Villagio.


Westfield Broward Mall

There are shopping plazas all around Broward County, but one popular spot is the Westfield Mall – also referred to by locals as The Broward Mall. There are 75 shops and department stores, a food court and lots of parking! Located at Broward Boulevard and University Drive, you will find Macys, Dillards, Sears and Pennys, as well as sporting goods stores, salons, jewelers, fashion boutiques and gift stores.

All along University Drive you will find shopping plazas that offer large and small deprtment stores, restaurants and delis.



Take a day off and head out to beautiful Weston. A lovely upscale community where the pace is slower, the boutiques are excellent – and so are the spas and many restaurants! Nestled up against the Everglades, this international destination is built around a complex waterway system,. Many of the businesses are located along the lakes and canals. No traffic, no parking problems and everyone is relaxed and friendly! There is a great golf course on either end of Weston.

Take I-595 and head all the way west. The last exit for Weston on is Glades Circle – drive past that and you are heading to Fort Meyers on the west coast! Take I-75 South for additional exits into Weston.


Shops at Pembroke Gardens

Located off I-75 at Pines Boulevard, just south of Weston. This is a fairly new addition to the upscale shopping scene in Broward County. A large outdoor plaza with an excellent selection of shops; featuring fashion, housewares, sporting goods, jewelers, salons. gifts and excellent pubs and restaurants. Plan on spending the whole day for a great shopping experience!

Coral Ridge

Coral Ridge Mall

Located at US 1 and Oakland Park Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, this indoor mall offers a convenient place to shop for casual wear, household goods, gift stores and a supermarket. Anchor department stores include Target, TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Old Navy. Easy access to the beaches and the Galt Ocean Mile.


Oakfield Plaza

Located between Sheridan Street and Sterling Road in Hollywood, this is another great place to find a selection of reasonably priced shops and box stores. Easily accessed from I-95, just South of the Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport.
